Strange Questions
The UK’s Age Without Limits campaign commissioned a poll that asked people whether Glastonbury (a giant festival of performing arts) would be better or worse if it had fewer people 50 and above attending.
Apparently 23% said it would be better and 37% said it would be worse. Though 69% said no age is too old to attend.
The numbers are interesting, but the idea of polling people for their input on this—and other thoughts, like who’s the right age to wear denim shorts—makes me queasy.
Why suggest the answers to these questions should be a matter of public opinion?
