The Encore Network has published a 10-point list to help folks determine whether an employer is age-friendly.

Some of the tips are helpful to job-seekers—like #1, they don’t ask for graduation or other age-screening dates; and #5, they use photos that include older adults in recruiting materials and elsewhere.

Other items are probably spot-able only when someone is already working there—like #6, people of all ages are equally included in decision-making.

Overall, it’s a fantastic roadmap for inclusion of all types. And a great self-check for employers to shore up the areas where they fall short.
