Happy 60th OAA
Embarrassed that I didn’t know this before the Maine Council on Aging popped it into my inbox, but now I do: Monday, July 14th is the 60th Anniversary of the Older Americans Act (OAA).
Since 1965, the OAA has connected older adults and care partners with services that help people age with health, dignity and independence. It funds a wide range of aging services, with flexibility built in to reflect state and local needs.
Want to see this funding protected—and increased to keep up with population change?
Contact your members of Congress and urge them to make the investment.
